At Wikio we aim continually to provide bloggers with specially developed services for their blogs. Our latest tools allow you to display on your blog the origins of your incoming links, an automatic blogroll based on your exchanges with other bloggers, and also the tags corresponding to each of your articles.

Let’s begin by introducing the first of these tools: the Backlinks Widget.

This widget allows you to display in your sidebar articles on other blogs that have cited you. It is automatic, so you need only install it and that's it.

The setup is very simple: copy the code below, selecting whichever of the two styles you prefer, and then paste it into your sidebar, or in a widget. Don’t forget to insert the URL of your blog in the code.

The first is the "Light" version:

Backlinks light UK

The second is the "Raw" version:

Don’t hesitate to contact us on widgets@wikio.com with any questions you may have on this new widget. And please check back here in the next days: we will be revealing all on the other tools for bloggers mentioned above.

As you may have noticed we have changed our home page: the Blogs section is now above the video bar, and has thus changed places with the Breaking news section. Consequently, we have also changed our old tagline "News your way" for a new one - "Blogs your way". Not a dramatic change but enough to illustrate our commitment to providing the best visibility to blogs.

Here is a simple way to insert the Universal Share button right after each Blogger post.

First of all, Copy the script which you'll find here.

Then go to your Blogger Dashboard

Click on Layout

Then Page Elements

Add a Gadget

Then click on HTML/Javascript

Paste the script copied earlier

Save

The buttons should now be visible after each post, but you won't be able to seem them directly on the home page.

Here is a demonstration:

In some cases this method may not work properly. No problem! Here is another way to install the Universal Share button under your posts.

Choose the type of button you like most and copy its code:

Then go to you Blogger Dashboard

Go to Layout

Click on Edit HTML

Check Expand Widget Templates

Paste the code copied earlier just before this line:

(Don't forget you can easily find that bit of code by hitting Ctrl+F on your keyboard and searching for it)

Then click on Save Template

The button is installed under each post

Wikio is launching a new collaboration with webmasters and expert bloggers to show our team’s determination to work with bloggers in order to perfect our rankings. This idea was born in France following the requests for such a system from many bloggers.

We want to create new rankings for bloggers and do so with their help. This involves continuing to index new blogs and categorising them into the right categories, as well as creating new categories so that we can better reflect the discussions going on in UK blogging.

We would like to collaborate with a blogger for each category who will act as a moderator. We also wish to benefit from this blogger's expertise in the form of advice and suggestions on Wikio’s selection of websites in the given category. We want to improve our sourcing and elevate the number of blogs present in each category, thus improving quality and coherence on a continual basis. We would also wish to benefit from the blogger's network in order to offer other new categories. In exchange, the ranking concerned will highlight this expert blogger, using a screenshot of his/her blog and a description of its author.

We ask all interested bloggers to contact us via (info @ wikio.com), and to spread the information to their networks. And don't forget you will be able to check out our blog to get the latest new on the new rankings created by our Experts.
