Yesterday saw the first ever monthly update of the Wikio UK Top blog rankings. You'll note that this post has gone up today to avoid any April-tomfoolery-related misunderstandings... Unlike our French friends who actively partook in a little 'April Fish' fun.

The UK Top Ten looks pretty similar to last month, although it now sports Samizdata at number 9, who also jumps to number 2 in the Politics rankings, just above Devil's Kitchen at number 3, with Ian Dale retaining top spot. In the overall rankings, TechCrunch still rules the roost, and it's as you were, as it were, in the Tech Top 5. Congratulations to BlogStorm, which has jumped 4 places to make the Tech Top Ten.
Spittoon is top in Gastronomy (possibly on the strength of their brilliant tag line), with Ice Cream Ireland jumping 3 spots to take 4th. Soccerlens and Arseblog are still going strong in Sport, being positioned at 1 and 2 respectively. The superbly named Some People Are On The Pitch clambers one place to break in to what is a largely football dominated Top Ten.
Congrats to all those figuring in the rankings. There'll be a round up of all the movers and shakers for next month on May Day, but for now you need simply bask in your ranking glory.
