As with each month here are the Top Blogs in Europe. The Italian blog Sky TG24 - Reporter Diffuso has inched it's way to the top of the ranking from last month's second place. Big congratulations to what is one of only six Italian blogs in the Top 50 - though 4 of those are in the Top 20.
More changes as Spain has finally lost it's lead in terms of the number of blogs in the ranking. Well, I say lost, it's sharing it with Germany: both nations have 13 blogs in the Top 50. The Spanish, however, boasted an incredible 23 out of 50 back at the turn of the year. Speaking of steadily falling from grace, the previous King of European Blogs Basic Thinking of Germany, who was number 1 for nearly 6 consecutive months until April this year, is edging towards an exit from the Top Ten; it's now in ninth position. Germany still boasts netzpolitik.org and Nerdcore in second and third respectively, however. The number one Spanish blog is ALT1040 in fifth.
Ten French blogs make the ranking, a drop of two from last month - the highest of which being Nicolas Jégou's political blog Partageons mon avis, way back in 20th position.
As for the UK, as with last month there are eight blogs in the Top 50, though some of them have made impressive leaps up the ranking. Harry's Place (39th) clambers back in, whilst Dizzy Thinks (37th) climbs to go one position above politicalbetting.com (38th);
Labourlist rises eight places to 18th. Liberal Democrat Voice is up five to 29th and Liberal Conspiracy holds firm in 17th. There are Two UK blogs in the Top 10 and, somewhat symetrically, four in Top 20. Iain Dale's Diary remains out in front in fourth place, followed by Guy Fawkes' blog in 6th.
