We have just signed an agreement with the
investment funds Lightspeed and Gemini, who have
invested 4 million euros in
Wikio. We now have the means to reinforce our technical team and infrastructures,
to perfect all our services of scouring available information on the Internet.
We want to offer you more and more innovative functions: for cyber-shoppers,
for bloggers... the technical plans are loaded!
After the opening of our German, American, Spanish, French and Italian sites, Wikio will also launch another English version in the second quarter (www.wikio.co.uk, to differentiate from the www.wikio.com intended for American web surfers). Then it’s on to other European and Canadian versions!
All these developments will accelerate the growth of Wikio, eventually welcoming over one million users. Ouriel Ohayon, general director of the Lightspeed-Gemini Internet Lab and editor of the French version of TechCrunch, joins Wikio’s board of directors along with Yoni Cheifetz, associate of the Lightspeed investment fund. They join the two founders Laurent Binard (founder of Mediapps) and Pierre Chappaz (founder of Kelkoo, and general co-director of Netvibes).

The Netherlands has the most active group of internetters within the European internet population and you still haven't released a Dutch version. You are doing something wrong here.

Thanks for your advice. We're working on it. The Dutch version will be released in the second part of 2007.
